Wi-Fi Test Tips 16: Introduction to Switched MIMO Connection
[Introduction of Switched MIMO]
Switched MIMO is currently one of the three mainstream WLAN test solutions. Compared with the other two MIMO test methods, Switched MIMO requires the DUT to continuously transmit the same signal during the test.
The wiring method of Switched MIMO is: multiple antennas of the DUT are connected to different RF ports of the same instrument to complete the test. The number of antennas that can be tested is limited by the number of RF ports of the instrument. This MIMO test method only supports the TX test of the DUT and is suitable for the research and development scenarios of DUT products.

The networking of Switched MIMO is shown in the figure above. Connect each antenna of the DUT to
On the WT20X port, the WT20X will use its internal switch matrix to switch each RF port to receive the antenna data in a time-sharing manner, and finally combine and analyze the MIMO results.
